Please read before registering your house

for houses allowing trick or treat

- The Basics -

Before you register there is just a few things you should consider; We need to provide a safe and friendly environment for the families. Halloween this year will be running Tuesday October 31st 2023; between the times of 4pm and 8:30pm. Please let us know if you are wanting to do different hours. Displaying decorations or balloons at the front of property is a great way of helping people find your house. Houses should be decorated in Halloween theme, this is to your own personal taste. We ask people to remember many of the kids are young so displays should be suitable for all ages. There are posters that can be printed in the extra section of the web site that can help. Clear instructions of how to access the treats should be displayed, in the front yard, knock of the door or ring the doorbell. Your address will be displayed on the page, map and printout. No other details will be displayed and details will be taken down at the end of the day to preserve privacy.

-Treats-

Edible treats are to be purchased from stores or provided by a registered food business. They should be individual packaged, making sure that they have a list of ingredients. Providing a range of treats can cover for allergies but is not a requirement.

If providing non edible treats please make sure you have a label or tell parents that they are non-edible (you know there are kids out there that will try). You only need to provide a small amount of treats as they have opportunity to get some from other houses. You also only need to provide the amount you can, if you run out we can update the page details letting people know the treats are all gone. Signs are available on the page to print out if no more treats are available (you can request one printed for you before hand if needed); which you should display at you front entrance. Please do not leave the treats outside unsupervised as we have had problems in past years.

-yard-

Please make sure your yard if free from trip hazards and rubbish, especially the driveway and walkway to the treat area. Grass and garden should be maintained or blocked off from the visitors.

-guests-

You have the right to not give treat to any family's that are rude or not behaving correctly. If any families do cause problems please contact us so we can let other’s know. If you provide your phone number we can send group message if we need to send important information.

Covid restrictions have been fully lifted this year but we still recommend on encouraging safe and hygienic behavior as has become just common practice in recent times.
